Elastorsa
started operations in 1967 as a rubber compound manufacturer for third
parties.
During the
first few years it created its shoe sole production and in the 80s the
rubber extrusion division for the car industry.
In 1994
it was decided to sell the extrusion activity to the Continental Group,
and develop further the rubber compound activity, which has become the
exclusive activity after selling the sole production in 2001.
From 1994
till 2002, a spectacular growth was realised, to the point where, today,
we have become one of the main rubber compound manufacturing groups in
Europe.
During these
years, the Group grew in size with the addition of two new companies.
In 1998 Cauchos Bracamonte (Salamanca-Spain) was created followed by the
acquisition of FORMIX (Orleáns-France) in 2002.
